Bestiary

If this website is a hearty dinner, here's the meat of it. (The Planetarium, of course, is the potatoes. Mm, potatoes.) You'll notice that all of the links that are organized into solar system and/or genres are planet/moon names. It has been proven easiest to group species by their homeworld/homemoon, hence the categorizing. Each world has a World Fact Sheet linked to its species' page for easy reference; you can also navigate to the Planetarium for a map of all the World Fact Sheets, to the Rosetta Stone for a listing of all the varied languages, and to any section of Background for more information and some backstory.

If you want a quick summary of the planets/systems, scroll past the table below for some notes on layout.

Kusani's Explanation of the Layout

If you'll allow me to ramble, I'd like to make a few notes about the way I've organized the worlds and their groupings. It's not vital information, but if you're confused and/or frustrated with my madness, feel free to read about the method.

Firstly, nothing is organized alphabetically. (That'd be silly!) They are, instead, in order of importance/prominence, from most to least. Inhabited moons that have species to list are in (parentheses) to distinguish them from actual planets. Also, there is often more than one name associated with a world: I've put the 'official' one first, followed by its secondary name or its primary nickname, as in the case with Lybreth/Base - Lybreth is the planet's actual name, whereas Base is just what everyone calls it.

The Tri-System is the main system for which I (Kusani) write; it consists of three planets, two moons, and a sun. Ghrayu is the sun; the two moons are Veron and Xerachin, and the three planets are Lavana, Shakala, and Terole. Raobé is listed under the Tri-System because it is an honorary member, though nowhere close to the actual star system itself; similarly, Talritai is also an honorary member and is populated by species that were originally from Lavana. And Sahan is a fourth planet added in the eleventh millenium by the Creators in order to offer Lavanians a place to turn as their planet became more and more ecologically imbalanced. The planets following that - Base, Jhey, Cinea, etc - are planets that have been colonized by those of the Tri-System. The only exception is Okhe, which is not discovered by the Tri-System fleet until the ninth millenium ("modern time" is in the seventh millenium); Okhe is a planet only one star away from the Tri-System and hosts upon its surface members of a species prominent on Lavana - Korats. So it, too, is included in the Tri-System-and-Co. bunch.

The Emeracore System consists of only one world which bears life, Nishao Kalimn, and its three moons, all of which host life. It is several stars away from the Tri-System and is only discovered and explored in the seventh millenium.

The Quad System is Ekunyi's primary solar system, her equivalent of my Tri-System, so to speak. Most of her species originated here - especially on Keshal. Etreus is something of a free-for-all planet, where various alien races come for commerce and conversing. Shrinian is a world nearly entirely engulfed in water, and Sevala is the home of Ekunyi's oldest species - Canis.

Ekunyi's Q'aartai system is a collection of four worlds and their star, mostly dominated by the Q'aartai, a highly advanced bipedal race. Gameworld is similar to Terole of the Tri-System in that plenty of immoral/should-be-illegal activites are hosted regularly and openly - slavery and racing among many others. The Q'aartai hold no sway over Mejran or Seyuri, however, as the dominant race on Mejran keeps those two pastoral worlds from being exploited.

The Srras and Sunvi systems are also Ekunyi's systems, little-explored but ripe with potential.

'Sci-fi worlds' is a grouping of worlds that are, technically, within the Tri-System 'verse, just as the Emeracore System and all other previously-mention systems, but are not related to each other or the Tri-System in any way. (The only exception is that the main race of Mvekk discovered pastoral Hrahno.) You'll notice I included Earth on here; I did so in order to explain how Earth has evolved and changed, considering Earth would be somewhere in the 3000s AD in "modern day." AKMM-8688 is a world I have co-created with Ekunyi. Vytha, Racamarai, and Crini are in the grouping of 'sci-fi' instead of 'fantasy' only because they are accessible to Tri-System spacers, should someone ever choose to explore their planets; otherwise, those three worlds have no technology and no space flight.

The Shifter 'verse is completely and totally separate from the fantasy worlds and from the Tri-System 'verse. It focuses on the main world of the Shifters, Alasa-Ca, and the main world of the K'anta, Poc'n. You'll notice that, again, I put Earth here - because, whereas the Terra with the Tri-System is simply evolved, this Earth is a parallel version of itself. Things in our past happened differently, and our present-day is markedly changed; I needed to record the differences, so that things in the Shifter 'verse make sense.

All of the worlds listed under 'fantasy worlds' are wholly independent of one another. There is no space flight in any of these places, nor is there knowledge of the existence of other worlds. Instead of advanced technology, magic and religion are common in day-to-day life (whereas in my sci-fi worlds and in the Tri-System, such is nearly unheard-of; even the Shifter 'verse balances magic and technology). Denaith and Jémit are worlds that I have co-created with Gileonnen; Khraen is a world I have co-created with Ekunyi, and Were-Earth is Ekunyi's own. As always, our original work is copyright us.
